We specialise in birdwatching tours in and around Sydney and New South Wales, either arranged individually for overseas and interstate visitors or our regular departure tours. These tours offer you the chance to leave the city behind for a great day birdwatching in our unique Australian bush.
- Join us on our regular day tours which visit areas within 150 kms of Sydney. With expert knowledge and experience we plan each trip to make the most of the latest sightings. The tours are lead by an expert ornithologist who is able to impart a wealth of knowledge to all levels of birders, from beginners to the more experienced. Meet other wonderful local birders and see some of the terrific scenery around Sydney.
- Join us on our longer tours from 2 to 15 days, travel to areas of New South Wales of particular birdwatching significance. Fully accommodated, small friendly groups, and expert guides make these trips a delightful birding experience.
Charter Tours for individuals or groups
With our position on the eastern seaboard we are fortunate enough to be able to show you a great diversity of habitat and birdlife from rainforest birds to birds of the open forest.
- Day charters are designed around you. Birds you are especially interested in seeing and places you wish to go. Or we can organise the day using our expert local knowledge to take account of the latest sightings and hot spots.
- We have some great ideas for short trips from 1 to 4 days. Perhaps a visit to the Blue Mountains birding on the way, extended to an overnight farmstay in the Capertee Valley, always a great spot which should definitely be visited by any birdwatcher coming to Sydney. Also a great trip is to the area south of Sydney taking in a pelagic trip.
Follow That Bird is run by keen birders who love birdwatching and sharing our enjoyment and enthusiasm for our unique Australian birds. Day tour transport is in our late model Toyota Coaster and all our guides/drivers hold appropriate licences and insurance. We hope to see you on your next visit to Sydney.
