Rose Gums Wilderness Retreat

On the unique Atherton Tablelands in tropical North Queensland. Rose Gums Wilderness Retreat has 9 very private pole and timber treehouses on a 93 hectare property with rainforest and eucalypt forest which borders a World Heritage Wooroonooran National Park.

There are over 160 species of birds recorded. Some specialities are Blue-faced Parrot-Finches (summer months), ChowchillasVictoria’s RiflebirdsKing Parrots and Lesser Sooty Owls. Wildlife viewing every morning for parrots (King Parrots and Rainbow Lorikeets) and the musky rat-kangaroo (Australia’s smallest kangaroo).

We have 9 kilometres of bush walking tracks to rainforest streams with swimming holes and platypus viewing. We are centrally located on the Atherton Tablelands and an easy half hour’s drive from the major natural attractions of the area.
